Quick recap of Howso at ATO.
Howdy from Raleigh,
My company sponsored an open source conference this past weekend.
Here’s a bit of copy that I wrote for the conference plus some photos.
Here’s what I wrote on a vertical banner that was on display at our booth.
The message seemed to have resonated with folks.
“AI is a black box.
Let’s fix it together.
Howso - the world’s first open source Understandable AI engine.
Humanity is making critical decisions with technology prone to hallucinations, bias, and opacity.
That’s unacceptable. We’re doing something about it.
Our open source Engine ensures that every prediction provides exact attribution back to the input data.
The result?
Howso Engine is completely auditable and transparent, providing trust for predictions that matter.
(Black box AI can’t say that.)
Explainable, open source AI is possible.
Let us show you how.”
This was the campaign that we ran at the conference. I promise you no one read into it this in-depth, but we purposely placed Howso outside of the literal black box (get it?). We, then encouraged folks to open it (by accessing our open source project).
Folks got a hat or socks if they interacted with our open source project.
Here was our banner. We also ran an AirPods Pro giveaway to encourage folks to sign-up for the company newsletter.
Some of the Howso team members at the conference. We structured the booth experience like an Apple store. Instead of interacting with folks from behind a table, we met with attendees at high-top tables. It made for a much more engaging experience.
Chatting with folks during the conference.
Thanks for reading
I’ll be back next week with a larger piece.
Josh
